DESCRIPTION:SAVE THE DATES: \n\nThis July marks the 81st Annual Punkintown Fair!! The fair is a family-oriented event that has been organized by the New Salem Volunteer Fire Department since 1942.  This year’s fair will be held on July 17th\, 18th and 19th at the fairgrounds across from the New Salem Firehouse at 694 New Salem Road (Rt. 85A) starting at 6:00pm each night.\nAs always\, parking and admission are free\, and the food is excellent!\nThis year’s Sponsors are Ayers Automotive\, Ballston Spa National Bank\, Carl’s Advance Automotive and Repair Center\, Satch Sales\, Family Danz Heating and Cooling and Rentals To Go. Sponsoring fireworks again the last night of the fair is JIMCO PAINTING.\nThis year’s raffle includes cash prizes of $2\,000 for first prize\, $1\,000 for second prize and $500 for our third prize winner. There will also be many additional prizes added to the drawing this year with the support of New Salem’s Auxiliary members and the community.  The drawing will be held at the close of the fair on Saturday night and you need not be present to win.\nAll proceeds from the fair and raffle will be used to update fire and rescue equipment providing services to the residents of the district.\nAs a community on opening night\, all Veterans\, the men and women who served honorably on active duty or are currently serving in the Armed Forces\, along with remembering our fellow Americans who have paid the ultimate sacrifice all of which are so deserving of our recognition\, respect and gratitude\, will be honored.\nThank you for your continued support!

DESCRIPTION:The New Salem Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary will be hosting its 16th Teddy Bear Tea with Mrs. Claus for boys and girls on Sunday\, December 7 with seating at 1:00pm at the New Salem Fire Station at 694 New Salem Road in Voorheesville. Our theme for this year is A Christmas Tea with Mrs. Claus & Friends.  Come and enjoy tea sandwiches and dessert along with a hot chocolate buffet sponsored by Carl’s Advanced Automotive & Truck Repair Center in Voorheesville.\nThe Auxiliary has been in contact with Mrs. Claus again this year to help them plan to have another wonderful event for the children in the community.  There will be gifts for the children\, story readings by Mrs. Claus and excitement of a Special Guest.  Mrs. Claus is looking forward to seeing everyone!!\nPaid advance reservations are required by Sunday\, December 1.  Please call (518) 421-4057 or email shirlunser@msn.com to make your reservations. When calling or emailing\, please be sure to leave your name and phone number so Mrs. Claus’s office can return your call and provide further information.\nThe cost is $30.00 for an adult and one child.  Each additional guest (child\, Grandma\, Grandpa\, cousins or friends) is $10.00 each.  Bring your camera for photo opportunities.\nA portion of the proceeds will be donated to the New Scotland Food Pantry.
